A Vacationer’s Paradise

The distinctive Kolea resort-area of Waikoloa is truly a vacationer’s paradise. Just steps from the beautiful beach at Anaeho’omalu Bay, Kolea offers luxury villas with an unrivaled location. All of the villas feature mahogany wood detailing, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. All guests of Kolea also receive exclusive use of the Kolea Beach Club. Amenities include an infinity pool and sun deck, a sand-bottom children’s pool with waterfall, lava rock hot tub, an open-air fitness area, a covered pavilion and more.

Swim and Discover Local History

Anaeho’omalu Bay is filled with colorful tropical fish and the occasional turtle, and is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba-diving. Off-shore reefs protect the bay from strong currents, meaning that your time in the water is relaxing and picture-perfect. Stroll two acres of sunny shores dotted with hundreds of palm trees on a trail that takes you along tide pools, natural rock formations and coral. For a little more adventure, walk part of the Ala Kahakai trail that winds through Kolea. This National Historic Trail features ancient Hawaiian settlement sites, temples, petroglyphs, sea turtle habitats and local wildlife.

Shopping, Music and Great Food

If your perfect idea of a vacation includes shopping, Kolea has you covered. Only minutes from Queens’ Marketplace, guests of Kolea can browse stores and local art galleries to their hearts content. Whether it’s a beautiful pearl jewelry memento of your time in Hawaii, or a sweet treat at the gourmet specialty store, you’ll find something to whet your shopping appetite. And if top designers are your idea of great sightseeing, be sure to stop by the Kings’ Shops, located right near the heart of Kolea. Meet The Owners

Joe and Carole Anderson bought their Kolea Villa in 2006. It was purchased as a family place…a place to be enjoyed by our children and grandchildren. Because of our love of Hawaii and the beautiful location of Kolea on Anaeho`omalu Bay on The Big Island, we decided to share our home and this beautiful place with others. Kolea 8A was blessed and named ‘Hale Pohaikealoha’… home encircled with love.
